按照自己的理解,对楼主的一些句子按照英文的表达习惯，进行了调整进行翻译，希望能给楼主一些启示(个别地方楼主不太理解或不满意的话，如果需要也可以给我留言沟通。）

相反地，我其实很讨厌疯狂地、强迫式（或意译为填鸭式）的教育。
I could never quite accept the notion of having to go to school while the fish were biting.
我永远不会完全赞同在孩子正玩得尽兴的时候强迫他去学校上学。

前面几句还是很简单，不解释了，楼主如果有问题可以百度Hi问我。

这里最后一句话，意译为正在做自己感兴趣的事、正在兴头上。
为什么这么译？来源于因为英语里有个说法：Nobody wanted to quit while the fish were biting. 鱼正咬钩的时候哪儿有人愿意停手。
其实不是用得特别普遍但是你这么说大家都知道什么意思。
用在这里，准确意思是when it is time to play,正是（孩子）该玩的时候。

这个是我在网上查到的官方解释=。=但是我相信这种用法其实不普遍，可能是这个演讲者演讲时的特殊语境或者结合他自己的经历来讲的，所以这么说。脱离了当时的语境看就很难理解了。

所以我觉得你自己在写作或说话时，不要用这个说法。

我曾经拼命地试图向我的学生解释：年少时，我并不是他们所想那种书本、作业狂热份子。相反，我讨厌义务教育。我非常赞同having to go to school while the fish were biting的主张。

while the fish were biting这一句貌似是俚语，结合上下文，我觉得应该是时间很短或者频率很低的意思。

那么这个“主张” 应该是“缩短上学时间”的意思。

could +否定词+形容词表示肯定的意思，本文是指不能再多赞同一点了，即非常赞同。

我已经拼命地尝试向我的学生解释，他们对我的印象：一个在青春期时对书籍和家庭作业无比狂热的形象是很不准确的。相反地，我非常不赞成强制性的教育，我永远都不能接受当孩子们还应该玩乐时却不得不去上学的做法。
