1. You _____ talk loudly in the reading-room.
mustn't can't needn't may not
填mustn't还是can't,为什么?

We ______ talk loudly in the reading room.
A. can't B. mustn't C. may not D. don't have to.
其实这题与上一题一回事,don't have to=needn't
但实在不是一道好题目,其它三个都是可能的,依次为:mustn't, man not , can't 和needn't (dodn't have to)。
You mustn't talk loudly in the reading room--it's the school rule.
You can't talk loudly in the reading room--it's not nice.
You needn't talk loudly in the reading room--it's so quite that i can even hear you whisper.
You may not talk loudly in the reading room--or else I will call security and have you removed.

2. Do you know when John _____ for dinner this evening?
No,but I think he _____ when he is free.
A.will come,comes B.will come,will come C.comes,comes D.comes,will come

3. He wanted to know how long _____ in hospital?
A.she is staying B.she had stayed C.did she stay D.she stay

1. --Don't you think English is difficult?
--I think English is_____ difficult to learn _____French.
选择:c. not so, as
I think English is not so difficult to learn as French I don’t think English is so difficult to learn as French。
的结构有两种:not as …as 和 not so …as,选项中只有后者。
一样”,只能用 as …as,而不能用 so … as,选项中没有提供前者。
2. --I don’t like drawing _____singing.
--Really? That means you don’t like drawing _____you don’t like singing.
I don’t like drawing or singing
3. --I don’t like swimming.
--_____
选择:c. Neither does he
解析:
1)用 neither 或 so 表示也如此是,需要用倒装句,A 项. Neither he does 和 D 项 so he does 都没有倒装;
2)Neither does he 表示他也不喜欢,So does he表示他也喜欢。

4. The test is so difficult that _____ no one can pass the test
选择:c. almost
解析:
1)表示“接近”或“就要到了”时用nearly;表达“不足”或“尚差一点儿”时用 almost;
2)句中有no, none, nothing, never 等词时,不可以用nearly,但可以用almost
5. --Will the program be shown on TV again?
--_____.
选择:c. I’m afraid not
1)I believe not so 形式不对,只能用 I don’t believe so
2) I know not 形式同样不对,改为 I don’t know 才可以
3)I’m afraid not 是 I’m afraid it will not be shown on TV again 的省略
4)I’m sure not 改为 I’m not sure 才正确

1.C吧!not so as 是 不与...

1.a
2.or and

1. A 如果选B用宾语从句的话,则需要注意从句时态和主句时态的一致,所以应该是whether\/if he could do才对,can不对。2.
